Rome Graft Review

What are you guys expecting from a freestyle deck?

A little ease while spinning, a real envy to twist it, having the pleasure to manipulate a kind of toy which fits perfectly your legs and feet, your whole body; in acquaintance with your moves, basically a part of yourself you can control entirely.

The Rome Graft is a board which should stay in the Park and only inside. It basically does not handle well high speed due to its lightness and flexibility. The Core Rome included is the Pop Core Matrix which is lighter than their basic wood core. The purpose is to give smooth flexing and lightweight for a nice pop from the tail and tip and quick transition from edge to edge.

Rome did understand what railing is about and if you are heading the jump with jibs ideas, the 2 years warranty is behind their strong base. The graft is shipped with their second level base which is a good balance between strength and speed. So do as much as you want 270 to Frontside Board slides without worrying about the deck.

As Burton strives to making the boards feeling like skateboards, Rome did it with the Graft. Imagine you are having a skateboard stuck to your feet, how many tricks do you think you can achieve, believe me and get your skate and hit the handrail with your board attached, how easy is this? Then take your Graft and do the same, you will have similar sensations!

The Straight Biax Carbon Laminate featured in the Graft gives the board added pop for Ollies and a suitable feel for Jibbering. The board is butter itself and it will lead you to a smooth riding with easy spins right on the groom or in the air. And to make things even more buttery, Rome inserted Impact Plates in the core for anti compression protection.

Rome is working on this Freestyle deck since only 1 year, this is the second version and Casey Neefus, a member of the Rome Team, has enjoyed it last year already. Because of all nice reviews Rome has met about this board, they decided to continue working on this true Freestyle Rome Graft snowboard.

I would personally say every rider can try it, beginners can even train on this deck; freestyle boards suit admirably novices as they are soft and not so fast, they are thus very forgivable and very maneuverable. On the other side, don't even think about Freeriding and ice carving with it. While it can be used for all terrains, its main purpose is to stay in the park.

Want To Save With Used Snowboards?

Are you ready to hit the slopes? You ready to try out the snowboarding that seems to be the hottest sport in the winter? Well, then before you start forking out the big money for your equipment, save a few dollars and start off with some great used snowboards. Here in this article, I will give you a list of what kind of equipment you need before you jump in the snow and begin your great adventure.

New and Used Snowboards

First we will start off with the types of snowboards. There are three of the basic type boards which vary in the shapes of the tips and tails as well as the width. Each snowboard is made for the different types of boarding. If you are a beginner, you would be best off with a freestyle snowboard which has no front or back of the board. They are easy to use, handle well and very easy to turn, making this the best choice for the beginner snowboarder.

Boots and Bindings for your Snowboards

You are going to be looking for boots that fit your feet as close as possible, not too loose. If your boots are loose, you will not have the needed control, and if they are too tight, you will be in misery. This is really important...size!!!! They also need to be able to keep your feet warm, so when looking at boots, don't always rely on the cheaper price tag, as they may not be warm enough.

Look for a good lining in your boot as well as some good cushion. The boots need to be flexible and allow you good control for speed and direction of your board. When the boots are too stiff, you will have a greater risk of falling. Your binding will be determined by the boot you choose. Try on all your options in the store before taking them out on the snow. Also, make sure the store offers a good return policy before you purchase. If your boots don't work, then you won't be out the money. Again, for a beginner, check out the used snowboard boots and bindings.

Snowboarding Apparel

Just in case you forgot, snow is cold and the temperatures will be low. You are going to want clothes that will you dry and warm, however, you need to be able to move freely so you can enjoy your time on the snow.

Layers are great because you can remove them if you get too warm. Start with some long underwear or t shirt, then add cotton shirt over that. Next, you will add a fleece pullover, then add a jacket over that to keep you warm, then, on top of that, you will add a waterproof jacket. Also, don't neglect your head; choose a beanie or helmet, preventing heat loss.

Used Snowboards Accessories

Goggles, goggles, goggles!!!! This is very important to have as part of your outerwear and protection. You need goggles to protect your eyes from the glare on the snow and protection from stray branches. You also want to have socks, gloves , scarf, ear warmers, and things for safety such as knee and wrist guards.

Go find some great used snowboards and equipment and you are on your way to having a great time!

Learn to Snowboard - Online Lessons by a Professional Coach

Snowboarding has increased in population worldwide for the past several years. Every year thousands of people try snowboarding for the time. Many of these first timers decide to stick with and continue their passion for the board.

I started out snowboarding a couple of years ago after being an avid skier for 24 years. There was something about the sport that intrigued me about it. I would constantly see these young kids taking the slope on these boards wondering what the thrill was all about. So I decided to give it a go. I have to say that the first few outing I spent 99% of the time with my bottom on the snow. It was really tough to get the hang of even with skateboarding experience under my belt.

After the first few tries I decided to get lessons from a local trainer. I have to say that these lessons although extremely expensive do build the basic foundation to allow you to grow within the sport. Lessons are essential for those who are first starting or for even those who want to improve their game. After the first couple of personal lessons I decided to search around the internet to find tips as these personal lessons were getting to be a bit expensive and at that point I wanted to elevate my skills to point of doing some basic tricks.

After a few websites provided some good information I came across a website that claimed they would provide secrets and formulas to increasing your skill level and learning the tricks that the professionals use. At that same time they offered a money back guarantee so at least I had that to fall back on in case it was a scam. The founder and owner of the website is a professional trainer in Canada (Matt Belair) so I at least felt I would be getting something with some quality to it.

Anyway, moving on, I have to say that at first I was disappointed. There was a lot of information and a lot of direction that I had to put forth on the slopes and off the slopes. I almost gave up after using the system for a short period of time. Instead of fighting to get my money back I decided to really give it a go. I soon realized that if I wanted to gain the knowledge and the skills needed to elevate myself to the next level I really did need to follow the formula and commit myself to the training program. This is where it all had changed for me. The system is truly amazing if you stick to it and commit yourself. Matt provides very easy techniques to learn all the top tricks. As a result of his formulas you really do learn them fast and correct the first time instead of constant trial and error.

Matt has 3 basic rules to his training:

Focused Training:

This is really meant to represent the fundamentals of the tricks. This is where he provides written and verbal communication on the trick, having the rider practice on dry land and on snow.

Physical Training:

This is really what deterred me originally, having to physically prepare myself and my body for the tricks. Like I said above you have to commit yourself if you really want to become a good snowboarder. This physical training is really a key aspect of the overall program.

Mental Training:

Matt really focuses on the mental aspect of training. If you ever get lessons privately or through other sources there really is not much focus on preparing yourself mentally. For those who have become good at anything you know that a large part of the skill comes from mental preparation. The formulas and lessons learned in this program focus a lot on the mental aspect, which I believe is what got me so good so quickly.

Again, if you are not willing to follow the training and commit yourself I would not bother looking into this as you do need to have some dedication. If you do want to improve yourself and learn the tricks and skills that you see so many folks on the hill have this is the best place by far that I have seen provide the training.
